This two-day workshop is a hands-on experience to learn about data and analysis in the most practical way.
The workshop is for anyone interested in understanding how it can be applied to almost any field of their choice to give them an edge over the competition. Anyone who is interested in this new and developing field, who envisions themselves to be strategic decision makers in their future organizations, who do not intend to get into the details of technology but wants to understand concepts of how can enrol for this.
The two-day hands-on workshop with an expert will enable participants to walk through the entire data lifecycle as they work on a working assignment.
The Day 1 starts with the introduction to data analysis and its growth over the last decade. With case studies and examples from the industries, we understand its growing relevance in our day to day life.
We start with the data lifecycle beginning with data collection and looking at the major questions that most businesses have. We start with our working assignment to go through all the stages in these two days .
On Day 2, as we go through the next stages, we also understand the larger
issues involved with data like cross border governance, business needs and roles of different teams.
We learn about data sources, building a minimum viable product and creating data assets like Master Data Assets (MDAs), Group Data Assets (GDAs) and Contextual Data Assets (CDAs).
In the last session, we learn about the pros and cons of different approaches to data storage and accessibility. Finally, we work on the visualisation, story telling and interpretation of our assignment to make the learning experience more relatable and memorable for the participants.
