This course is a general overview of a variety of personal finance topics - including budgeting, cash flow, setting financial goals, and taxes.
This workshop’s primary (almost singular) goal is to give participants their own customised personal financial plan along with the tools, knowledge, and self-assurance they need to manage the plan themselves for the rest of their lives.
Each session equip participants with the knowledge and skills they need to manage their own finances so they may achieve their life goals. The secondary goals of this this workshop are to enable participants to be "street-smart" with investment products, be watchful against scam deals, avoid financial pit-falls, and gravitate towards better financial decision-making. It is tailored to help them improve their financial literacy and understand how money may affect their well-being.
Workshop to create your own customised financial plan to achieve your financial goals!
We start with the mapping your financial goals, its proper documentation and basic financial concepts.
Once the base is set, lets delve deeper into budgeting, accounting, risk appetite, insurance and other key concepts that are essential to your finances.
We end the day one with discussions on the options of investment products and analysis of which one is suitable for the different participants
On the day 2, we start with learning about terms and jargons that you will encounter in your financial journey whether you speak with a bank or a asset management company or a financial advisor.
Then, we discuss about the major topics of buying vs renting, FDs and savings accounts, retirement fund and most importantly taxation!
Lastly we tune your financial plan with minute detailing and strategies to stick with your plan

How to be street smart with investment products and take your own decisions
Being watchful against scam deals, and gravitate towards better financial decision-making.
1. For anyone who hasn’t yet started earning, an ESTIMATE of how much your initial income will be (in the next 2-3 years) will help form the baseline of the financial plan.
2. For everyone else, please come ready with your own financial data and information such as bank statements, salary slips, etc. (these will be used yourself to do the activities in the course and are not expected to be shared with anyone during the course).
3. Your customised financial plan will be created by YOURSELF via the content being discussed, using MS Excel – so some working knowledge of MS Excel will be beneficial.
A seasoned professional working with an international bank for over 12 years, with experience across investment banking and commercial banking domains, most recently specializing in Data Analytics, he has extensive knowledge of personal finance.
